CENTENARY OF THE NATIONAL ARTILLERY FEDERATION

Inheriting a glorious past and protector of the link between Army and Nation for artillery weapons, the National Artillery Federation this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The National Artillery Federation celebrated its hundredth anniversary at the Hotel National des Invalides on 6 December, during a ceremony held under the Invalides Dome in the presence of the highest-ranking soldiers in the French Army.

Founded by Marshal Ferdinand FOCH in 1919, this association brings together the regiments of the army and their standards, along with the veterans' associations represented by a host of flags. Following the ceremony paying homage to soldiers who lost their lives on the battlefield, a dinner enabled representatives from the army to give a presentation of the challenges facing the armed forces and their operations overseas. Manufacturers, including ARQUUS, also had the opportunity to present their companies, their products and the challenges they also need to rise to in terms of military and civil needs.
