ACMAT received a large ALTV order for the Ivory Coast

September 2012, ACMAT received a large ALTV order for the Ivory Coast

This order resulted in the creation of approximately twenty jobs in Saint-Nazaire.

The Ivory Coast has invested its budget in ALTV (ACMAT Light Tactical Vehicle) 4x4 pick-up vehicles, which have been on the market since 2008. This vehicle combines ruggedness with a high level of tactical mobility, and is capable of carrying a 1.4-tonne payload. Boasting a 190 hp engine, it can reach a top speed of 160 km/h when equipped with ballistic and anti-mine protective armour.

Available in multiple versions, ALTV is well-suited to transport, surveillance and reconnaissance missions and can even operate as an armoured weapon station. It can be armed with a 12.7 mm (or 7.62 mm) machine gun or a 40 mm grenade launcher.

The pick-up is particularly popular in Africa, where over 200 vehicles were sold in 2012 (Niger, Morocco, Mauritania, Congo, Mali and Equatorial Guinea).
